We’ve been talking about this for years and we’re so excited to make it a reality: the AniFem online store (clever name pending) is officially open for business!

The AniFem store (“AniMart Feminist”?) has two primary goals:

  • To provide AniFem with an additional revenue source so we can give our editors and contributors a pay raise and expand the site’s content.
  • To hire and promote marginalized artists to create a variety of designs for the progressive nerd on-the-go.

We plan to slowly expand our catalog, but for now we’re starting with a few designs so as not to overwhelm shoppers.

First, we’re making some of Teri Archibald’s terrific work from the 2019 Indiegogo perks available to everyone: our cute li’l fox avatar that we use around the net (such as on Twitter and Discord), as well as chibi versions of some of our “inclusive anime cast” designs. Currently we have the fox mascot, the trans magical girl, and the non-binary mecha pilot, but we’d love to commission her to complete the set if there’s interest and funds later down the road.

Beyond that, we’re delighted to introduce this trio of Trans Magical Warrior designs by indie creator, Nico Neeks!

Designs are available on T-shirts, coffee mugs, and stickers. You can strut your magical stuff by going to our store (“AniFemporium”?) at animefeminist.com/store.

And if you like these designs as much as we do, don’t forget to follow and support Neeks through their website and on Twitter and Instagram (@littlestarpu)!

We’ll look to commission more designs as finances become available—so if you want to see more projects like this, the best way to make it happen is to shop at our store (“Mercantile AF”?), donate to our Kofi, or join our Patreon. Please note we are not considering artist pitches at this time, but we’ll let you know if that changes in the future.

Happy shopping, AniFam!
