Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki Anime’s first Cast, Crew, Trailer, & Visual Revealed

Earlier today, the official Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki anime website updated with the show’s first cast and crew members, as well as a teaser visual and trailer. We break the details down below.

Trailer

The two-minute teaser introduces the main cast and staff behind the project, with lead actress Haruka Tomatsu narrating. The animation is limited, as the promo flies over still shots and manga excerpts.

Key Visual

The image, which was drawn by series creator Masaki Andō, features the show’s three leads posing for the camera.

Staff

Hisayoshi Hirasawa (Love is Like a Cocktail, Ojisan to Marshmallow) will serve as chief director on the project at studio Saetta. Creators In Pack is listed as handling production cooperation.

The show will premiere on TV Aichi and other channels in spring 2019.

Hisayoshi Hirasawa’s Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki manga launched in the pages of Monthly Comic Rex in May 2016. The series currently spans four compiled volumes, with the most recent hitting retailers on May 26. Volume 5 hits stores on November 27.

The four-panel comic revolves around the titular Yatogame-chan, an Aichi native who speaks in the Nagoya dialect. The series focuses on the differences in Nagoya’s culture from mainstream Japan. In addition, the character’s 80 turtles were appointed as Nagoya’s “Special Ambassadors for Tourism and Cultural Exchange.”
