It’s easy to forget that there are things happening OUTSIDE of Anime Expo right now. It’s true though, there are actually people who aren’t at AX right now and they are revealing things that you can’t learn by sitting in a humid, crowded panel room.
Case in point: earlier today, the first promotional video was released for the upcoming fall series Uchi no Maid ga Uzasugiru. Originally a manga series which launched in Manga Action magazine in August 2016, this series tells the story of a maid who takes care of a man and his young daughter. Did I mention that the maid used to be a member of the Self-Defense Force? Oh… and she also happens to be a lolicon. Hilarity ensues.
The series will feature Masahiko Ohta serving as the director with Takashi Aoshima doing the writing. Sadly there’s no word on which studio will be producing the animation.
The series will star Haruka Shiraishi as Misa (the young girl) and Manami Numakura as Tsubame (the lolicon maid).
This is another series that you have to put into the “only in anime/manga” category I think.
