22/7 is an idol project frm Aniplex and Sony Music Records, which kicked off in 2017. The group is produced by AKB48 founder Yasushi Akimoto, and blends elements of anime with real-life idols via technological presentations, and character designs by known figures in the industry. Since their inception, the group has worked to grow its following via musical performances and Virtual YouTuber presentations.

22/7 will receive an anime project in January 2020.

Crunchyroll Expo will be held from August 30 through September 1 at the San Jose Convention Center.
