Earlier today, the official Given anime website updated with a new key visual for Eiga Given (Given the Movie). The image is a color version of the teaser visual released on September 19, which features Haruki and Akihiko in a living room, relaxing on the couch.
Eiga Given will hit Japanese theaters in Spring 2020. Tickets presales will be held on November 9 and 10, at the Animate Girls Festival event.
Hikaru Yamaguchi (Escha Chron) will return to direct the film at Lerche, with Yuniko Ayana (The Idolm@ster SideM, BanG Dream!) writing the screenplay. Mina Ōsawa (School Babysitters) will return as character designer.
Other confirmed staffers include:
- Music: Michiru
- Sound Director: Hiromi Kikuta
The film will be produced under Fuji TV’s Blue Fox label.
The confirmed voice cast includes:
- Mafuyu Sato: Shougo Yano
- Ritsuka Uenoyama: Yuma Uchida
- Haruki Nakayama: Masatomo Nakazawa
- Akihiko Kaji: Takuya Eguchi
- Ugetsu Murata: Shintarō Asanuma
Given began airing during the Summer 2019 broadcast season. Crunchyroll streamed the show as part of their simulcast lineup, and describe it as:
Somehow, the guitar that he used to love to play and the basketball games that he found so fun just lost their appeal… That was until Ritsuka Uenoyama randomly met Mafuyu Sato. Ritsuka had started losing his passion for music in his everyday life, but then he hears Mafuyu sing for the first time. The song resonates with his heart and the distance between them starts to change.
