Crunchyroll Reveals Four More Simulcasts Including Date A Live III

It’s a new day which means it’s time for a new batch of simulcast announcements from Crunchyroll! Four more series joined the Winter 2019 lineup today including a set of quintuplets, a couple of sequels, and another young girl out to save the world!

Taking them in order of closest premiere date, we start things off with…

This series is based off the manga 5-Tōbun no Hanayome created by Negi Haruba. It’s been serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine since August 2017 and has been compiled into five volumes thus far. The manga has also been licensed by Kodansha Comics who began releasing volumes in North America in June 2018.

Satoshi Kuwabara (Dagashi Kashi 2, Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal) will direct the project at Tezuka Productions, with Michinosuke Nakamura providing character designs. Keiichirō Ōchi (Hinamatsuri, La Corda d’Oro Blue Sky) is in charge of series composition.

Crunchyroll describes the series as:

Uesugi Fuutarou, a high school second-year from a poor family, receives a highly appealing offer to work part-time as a tutor… but his students turn out to be girls from his own class! What’s more, they’re quintuplets… and all five are beautiful, but happen to be problem students who have borderline grades and hate studying! Looks like his first assignment will be to win all the sisters’ trust?!

In the third season of this harem comedy, we have Keitaro Motonaga (Digimon Adventure tri., Jormungand) returning to the director’s chair at J.C. Staff, with Koji Watanabe (Ace Attorney, RErideD) providing character designs. Hideki Shirane (Hayate the Combat Butler!!, My Girlfriend is Shobitch) will reprise his role on series composition.

Crunchyroll describes this season as:

Shido is just an ordinary school boy, but, he’s been recruited to help seal Spirits—the mystical creatures responsible for the spacequakes that threaten mankind. There’s just one catch: the only way to seal a Spirit is to make her fall in love with him. Now that he’s saved the world once or twice, more trouble is headed his way, and there’s only so much one boy can handle.

In the second sequel announcement of the day, our crew is led by Makoto Moriwaki (Onegai My Melody, PriPara) as director of the new season at A-1 Pictures, and take care of series composition under the pseudonym Nozomu Oshima. Yumiko Hara is providing character designs. Ryosuke Nakanishi will score the show’s soundtrack.

Protagonist Sumisora Tsubasa works in the A&R division of industry giant record company “Gandala Music.” Together with the members of B-PROJECT, the idol unit she manages, they overcame all manner of accidents and even achieved their dream of performing a concert at the JAPAN Dome, which was a huge success! Tsubasa, Kitakore, THRIVE, and MoonS head towards their next stage and meet KiLLER KiNG. The next emotional stage of “B-PROJECT” begins now–!

In the final announcement of the day, we have a brand new fantasy series joining the Crunchyroll library! Kaori (How to keep a mummy, Yuyushiki) will direct the anime at Studio Gokumi, with Haruko Iizuka (Little Busters!, Children of the Whales) providing character designs. Takashi Aoshima (Himōto! Umaru-chan, Yuruyuri – Happy Go Lily) is in charge of series composition for the project.

In the land of Naral Island, a land of magic and swords, humans and monsters live together. Once upon a time, there used to be a terrifying Demon Lord, but long, long ago the first Hero defeated the Demon Lord that appeared on Naral Island. The Demon Lord would revive again and again throughout the ages, but every time a Hero would appear to defeat it… Now these young girls attend an Adventurer’s Academy to prepare them to defeat the Demon Lord that will one day rise again.

This is the beginning of a laid-back fantasy life with no sign of the Demon Lord for these four who hope to become a party of heroes.
