Black Clover

Black Clover Anime Key Visual

Black Clover is based on Yuki Tabata’s manga of the same name. Tatsuya Yoshihara (Monster Musume, Long Riders!) is directing the project at Studio Pierrot, with Itsuko Takeda (Ristorante Paradiso, Blue Drop) serving as character designer. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Monster Musume, Tantei Opera Milky Holmes) is in charge of series composition.

Funimation describes the series as:

From the studio that brought you Yu Yu Hakusho, Tokyo Ghoul, Naruto, and more!

Asta and Yuno are two orphans who want the same thing: to become the Wizard King. Locked in a friendly rivalry, they work hard towards their goal. While Yuno excels at magic, Asta has a problem uncommon in this world: he has no powers! But, on the day they receive their grimoires, they surprise everyone. To reach their goal, they’ll each find their own path to greatness—with or without magic.

Tokyo Ghoul

Tokyo Ghoul is based on Sui Ishida’s manga of the same name. Shuhei Morita (Freedom, Kakurenbo – Hide & Seek) directed the series at Studio Pierrot, with Kazuhiro Miwa providing character designs. Chūji Mikasano () was in charge of series composition.

Funimation holds the right to the title, which they describe as:

Ken Kaneki is a loner. In a world where ghouls—human-like creatures who survive on human flesh—and people are at war, his biggest concern is which novel to pick up next. But when a date with the mysterious Rize turns deadly, a life-saving operation horrifyingly transforms him into a human-ghoul hybrid. Can he find his place in a society where it’s hunt or be hunted?
