Earlier today, Crunchyroll announced that they will host the world premiere of the Dr. Stone anime at Anime Expo. The first episode will be shown at noon Pacific (3:00PM Eastern) on July 4, in Main Events Hall B. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session with producer Shusuke Katagiri and Weekly Shonen Jump editor Hiroyuki Honda.
The series will launch a day later on Crunchyroll as part of the publisher’s Summer 2019 simulcast lineup.
Crunchyroll started streaming a subtitled trailer for the project on May 29, which you can check out below.
Shinya Iino will direct the project at TMS Entertainment, with Yuko Iwasa (Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas, Yowamushi Pedal Movie) providing character designs. Yuichiro Kido (Gatchaman CROWDS insight) is in charge of series composition.

Riichiro Inagaki and illustrator Boichi’s Dr. Stone manga launched in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump in March 2017. The series spans nine compiled volumes to date, with the latest shipping to stores on February 4.
