I don’t think there will be anyone disappearing down Flamingo Lane in this one…
Earlier today, the official Zombie Land Saga anime website updated with a new trailer and visual, as well as the major voice cast. We break the details down below.
The three-minute teaser is presented like a low-rent talk show, with lead actor Mamoru Miyano introducing the major cast members.
During the video, Miyano notes that recording has begun, and that a visual and trailer will be released on September 7.
The new visual features a low-angle shot of a run-down manor. The crimson sky and full moon can be seen looming above.
The series will star the following:
- Kōtarō Tatsumi: Mamoru Miyano
- Sakura Minamoto: Kaede Hondo
- Saki Nikaidō: Asami Tano
- Ai Mizuno: Risa Taneda
- Junko Konno: Maki Kawase
- Yūgiri: Rika Kinugawa
- Lily Hoshikawa: Minami Tanaka
A sixth character, Tae Yamada, was revealed, though her actress wasn’t announced in the promo.
Zombie Land Saga is a co-production between Cygames, MAPPA, and Avex Pictures. Nobuhiro Takenaka will serve as producer for the project, which has been in the works for four years. In an interview with Anime Herald, Takenaka revealed that the studio is negotiating global licenses as of July. He added that MAPPA CEO Manabu Otsuka had the original idea for the work, stating “Otsuka-san of MAPPA had the idea and a clear vision.”
The overall vision for the project is the “humanize zombies.”
