It looks like Kirito is making another grand entrance this fall.
Earlier today, the official Sword Art Online: Alicization anime website announced that the series will have a series of global premiere events. Seven countries will host the show’s hour-long debut episode:
- United States
- Japan
- Australia
- France
- Germany
- Russia
- South Korea
Japan’s event will be held on September 15. Actors Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, Haruka Tomatsu, and Ai Kayano will all attend the screening, which will be held at the Tokyo International Forum Hall C.
Sword Art Online: Alicization will hit Japanese TV in October.
Manabu Ono (Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere, The irregular at magic high school) will direct the project at A-1 Pictures, with the team of Gou Suzuki (Oreimo 2, Minami-ke Natsuyasumi), Shingo Adachi (Megaman Star Force, Sword Art Online), and Tomoya Nishiguchi providing character designs. Yuki Kajiura is scoring the show’s soundtrack.
The confirmed voice cast includes:
- Asuna Yūki: Haruka Tomatsu
- Kazuto Kirigaya/Kirito: Yoshitsugu Matsuoka
- Alice Zuberg: Ai Kayano
- Eugeo: Nobunaga Shimazaki
Sword Art Online: Alicization will adapt the “Alicization” arc of the Sword Art Online light novels, which spans volumes 9 – 18.
