Shion Miura’s “Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru” Gets Anime TV Series

Soon, the winds shall blow in a new direction.

Earlier today, an official website and Twitter account opened their doors to announce that Shion Miura’s Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru (Feel the Wind) will get an anime TV series. The site features a key visual, as well as the first staffers and cast members attached to the project.

We break the details down below:

Staff

Kazuya Nomura (Ghost In The Shell: The New Movie, Robotics;Notes) will direct Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru at Production I.G., with Takahiro Chiba (Kamichu!, Occult Academy) providing character designs. Kohei Kiyasu is in charge of series composition for the project.

Cast

The series will star the following:

  • Kakeru Kurahara: Takeo Ōtsuka
  • Haiji Kiyose: Toshiyuki Toyonaga

Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru will hit Japanese TV this October.

Shion Miura’s Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru first hit bookstores in 2006, under Shinchosha’s main imprint. The series inspired a live-action adaptation, which hit Japanese TV in the Fall 2009 broadcast season, as well as a stage play that opened in February 2009.
