Mob Psycho 100 II is slated to hit Japanese TV in January. The show will make its world premiere at Anime NYC 2018. The episode will be shown on November 17, at 1:00PM Eastern. The event will be attended by Setsuo Ito, who plays Mob in the series.

The first season of the Mob Psycho 100 anime aired in the Summer 2016 broadcast season. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired, and describes the title as:

Kageyama Shigeo (a.k.a. Mob) is an 8th grader with powerful psychic abilities. Workingunder his not-so-capable master, Reigen, Mob uses his powers to exorcise evil spirits. But his will to be normal causes him to suppress his powers and feelings until he hits 100 percent — a point where his pent-up emotions are unleased and a darker power takes over.

The series revolves around middle school student Kageyama Shigeo, whose lack of presence earned him the nickname “Mob.” Though he seems inconspicuous, Mob is actually a powerful Esper. As he gets older, Mob comes to realize the dangers of his powers, and chooses to live under a constant emotional shackle to contain his abilities. Mob wants nothing more than to live a normal life, but must endure a barrage of problems that seem to arrive at his feet. If his emotions are fully unlocked, a mysterious “something” will overtake his entire being.

Mob Psycho 100 first debuted on Ura Sunday in 2012. The series ran through December 2017, and spans fifteen collected volumes. Volume 16 will hit Japanese retailers on April 4.
