Earlier today, the official Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha website updated with new details on upcoming movie Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Detonation. A key visual and several character designs were unveiled, as well as the film’s premiere date and first plot details.

Plot
The site describes the film as:
Visitor from the planet Eltoria, Kyrie Florian. To save her doomed father and hometown, Kyrie sought out the “Eternal Crystal”, which exists on Earth.
A girl named Iris joined Kyrie’s journey as a companion. However, it was all a ruse by Iris, who was planning ot use the girl.
Iris aims to carry out her revenge on “Yuri,” a being who slept within the Eternal Crystal. On Earth, Iris and Kyrie sought the aid of Kyrie’s sister, Amitie Florian.
Three souls, Dearche, Stern, and Levi, were summoned by Iris.
The three magical girls of Earth, Nanoha Takamachi, Fate T. Harlaown, and Hayate Yagami, must come together to stop Iris.
What is the past between Iris and Yuri? What is the tragedy that unfolded in the Planet Revitalization Committee that once kept watch over Eltoria?
These mysteries from the past will pave the way for all-new stories.
Premiere
Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Detonation will hit Japanese theaters on October 19. The second round of ticket pre-sales will open on Friday, and folks who pre-order in this wave will receive a free clear file (while supplies last).
Takayuki Hamana (The Prince of Tennis, Appleseed XIII) is directing the film at Seven Arcs Pictures, with Kana Hashidate (Dog Days’) providing character designs. Masaki Tsuzuki (Dog Days”, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha) is writing the movie’s script.
Nana Mizuki will perform theme song Invisible Heat.
