Kengan Ashura Anime Gets New Visual & 4 Cast Members

The action is heating up, and get ready, because things are about to get violent!

Earlier today, the official Kengan Ashura anime website updated with a new key visual and four cast members. We break the details down below.

The show will add the following:

  • Rihito: Hayato Kaneko
  • Jun Sekibayashi: Tetsu Inada
  • Cosmo Imai: Junya Enoki
  • Setsuna Kiryū: Daisuke Namikawa

Kengan Ashura Key VisualKengan Ashura will hit Japanese TV in 2019. Netflix will stream the show worldwide.

Kengan Ashura is based on Yabako Sandrovich and illustrator Daromeon’s manga of the same name. Seiji Kishi (Assassination Classroom, Persona 4: The Animation) is directing the project at Larx Entertainment, with Kazuaki Morita (Assassination Classroom, Classroom of the Elite) providing character designs. Makoto Uezu (Akame ga KILL!, The Heroic Legend of Arslan) is in charge of series composition for the project.

The confirmed voice cast includes:

  • Ōma Tokita / Ashura: Tatsuhisa Suzuki
  • Kazuo Yamashita: Chō
  • Hideki Nogi: Jouji Nakata
  • Kaede Akiyama: Yumi Uchida

Netflix describes the series as:

Kazuo Yamashita is an ordinary fifty-six year old man who one day is summoned by the chairman of his company and hired as a gladiator. He learns that these hired gladiators engage in battles called “Kengan Matches: to protect the corporate rights of the businesses they represent. Kazuo Yamashita is assigned to battle a mysterious Kengan fighter named Ohma Tokita. Both men join the “Kengan Zetsumei Tournament” with the hope of winning the spot as chairman of the Kengan Organization.
