J-Novel Club Enters Content Partnership With Crunchyroll

Earlier today, J-Novel Club announced that they entered a distribution partnership with Crunchyroll. subscribers of Crunchyroll’s “Super Fan Pack” will gain access to J-Novel Club’s library in addition to content from VRV and Funimation. A launch date was not specified, though J-Novel Club’s press release states that the feature is “coming soon.”

The Super Fan Pack carries a suggested price of $14.99. As of press time, Crunchyroll is testing the tier “as part of a test to a small percentage of users” according to the organization’s Help page.

Crunchyroll logoJ-Novel Club opened their doors on October 14, 2016. The publisher specializes in English translations of Japanese light novels, which they will deliver in a “streaming” subscription format. As of press time, the publisher has more than twenty-five titles available on their service, which are receiving chapters on a weekly basis. The lineup includes Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash, Kokoro Connect, Arifureta Zero, and Outbreak Company, among others.

Since their launch, J-Novel Club has released numerous fan-favorite titles to retailers as eBooks, including Occultic;Nine and Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest.

At Anime Expo, J-Novel Club announced that they will begin releasing titles in print, with In Another World With My Smartphone serving as the inaugural title for the format.
