Haru Appears In Cat-tastic New Dōkyonin wa Hiza, Tokidoki, Atama no Ue Teaser Image

You knew it had to come at some point.

Earlier today, the official Dōkyonin wa Hiza, Tokidoki, Atama no Ue (My Housemate is Sometimes on My Lap, Sometimes on My Head.) anime website updated with a new teaser image. The shot is presented as a photo of Haru the cat.

Dōkyonin wa Hiza, Tokidoki, Atama no Ue Key VisualDōkyonin wa Hiza, Tokidoki, Atama no Ue hits Japanese TV in January 2019. Tokyo MX, AT-X, ABC TV, and BS11 will all carry the series.

Kaoru Suzuki (DIVE!!, Hellsing eps. 2, 7, 12) was tapped to direct the project at Zero-G, with Masaru Kitao (Death Note, Dances with the Dragons) providing character designs. Deko Akao (Flying Witch, Anonymous Noise) is in charge of series composition.

The series will star the following:

  • Subaru Mikazuki: Kenshou Ono
  • Haru: Haruka Yamazaki
  • Atsushi Kawase: Hiro Shimono
  • Hiroto Yasaka: Shun Horie
  • Nana Ōkami: Chika Anzai
  • Yuugo Ōkami: Yoshiki Nakajima
  • Hachi: Ayumu Murase
  • Roku: Kenjiro Tsuda

Tsunami Minatsuki and illustrator Futatsuya Asu’s Dōkyonin wa Hiza, Tokidoki, Atama no Ue launched in the pages of Holp Shuppan’s Comic Polaris in 2015. The series currently spans four compiled volumes, with the most recent hitting stores on March 13.

Manga resource Baka-Updates describes the title as:

Mystery writer Mikazuki Subaru, who isn’t good at dealing with people, finds them to be a disturbance when it comes to building his imaginary world. One day, he chances upon a stray cat and feels inspiration strike so he brings the cat home as his muse. Can watching the inexplicable behaviors of a cat form material for a novel?

Featuring perspectives from the human’s point of view as well as the cat’s.
