Earlier today, the official Gaikotsu Shotenin Honda-san (Skeleton Bookstore Employee Honda-san) anime website updated with a new key visual, the main voice cast, and details on the show’s theme songs. We break the details down below.
The image features the shop’s quirky denizens, presented in a manga panel format. The titular Honda-san stands at the front, holding a pile of books.
The series will star the following:
- Honda: Sōma Saitō
- Armor: Akemi Okamura
- Ko-omote: Aya Endo
- Hōtai: Eri Kitamura
- Full-Face: Hiroki Yasumoto
- Rabbit Head: Kazutomi Yamamoto
- Lantern: Kimiko Saitō
- Kendo: Kōtarō Nishiyama
- Okitsune: Shizuka Itou
- Yōsetsu Mask: Toshiki Masuda
- Gas Mask: Wataru Hatano
- Pest Mask: Yōko Hikasa
- Kamibukuro: Yuko Sanpei
Saitō was previously confirmed to be voicing Honda. Visuals for the characters were also revealed, which you can check out below.
“TECHNOBOYS PULCRAFT GREEN-FUND feat. Honda”, will perform opening theme song “ISBN ~Inner Sound & Book’s Narrative~ and closing theme Book-end, Happy-end.
Gaikotsu Shotenin Honda-san will hit Japanese TV in October. Tokyo MX, BS11, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, and J:COM will all carry the series.
Owl Todoroki will direct Gaikotsu Shotenin Honda-san at studio DLE, with Naoko Kakiki providing character designs. Shin Okashima is in charge of series composition for the project.

Honda’s Gaikotsu Shotenin Honda-san manga made its début in August 2015 on image sharing site Pixiv. The first compiled book hit retailers on March 2016, while book 2 launched in December of the same year. Book 3 hit retailers on September 27, 2017.
