It’s an all-new tale of growing up in a world that must be destroyed before it becomes beautiful.
On May 19, Adult Swim’s official YouTube account started streaming a new dub trailer for FLCL: Progressive. The minute-long promo features a brief look at the show in action, as The Pillows’ music plays in the background.
FLCL: Progressive hits Adult Swim on June 2, at midnight. This is a half hour later than the previously announced 11:30PM. The six-episode series will receive a theatrical run in Japan, hitting theaters on September 29.
Kazuya Tsurumaki (FLCL, Gunbuster) is supervising the project, with Katsuyuki Motohiro (Psycho-Pass, Atom The Beginning) working at Chief Director at Production I.G. Chikashi Kubota (One-Punch Man, Corpse Princess) is in charge of character designs for the project, while Hideto Iwai writes the scripts.
The Pillows will score the show’s soundtrack, and perform opening theme song Spiky Seeds.
