When emergency strikes, everybody knows that the robots will handle it! …wait.
Earlier today, the Eiga Drive Head: Tomika Hyper Rescue Kidō Kyūkyū Keisatsu (Drive Head the Movie: Tomika Hyper Rescue Mobile Emergency Police) anime film’s official website updated with a new teaser trailer. The minute-long promo features the Drive Head heroes facing off against Tera.
Eiga Drive Head: Tomika Hyper Rescue Kidō Kyūkyū Keisatsu hits Japanese theaters on August 24.
Takao Kato (Rio – Rainbow Gate!, Pandora Hearts) will return to direct the film, while Kenichi Araki (MegaMan NT Warrior, Tomica Hyper Rescue Drive Head Kidō Kyūkyū Keisatsu) is writing the script. EBiSSH will perform the movie’s theme song.
The confirmed voice cast includes:
- Gō Kurumada: Natsumi Fujiwara
- Jin Ishino: Kei Shindou
- Tera: Maaya Uchida
- Taiga Yagura: Sachi Kokuryu
- Mikoto Ishino: Sachika Misawa
- Akira (Trendy Angel): Takashi
- Yūsuke (Trendy Angel): Tsukasa Saitō
- Yuri Sasagawa: Yuri Sasagawa
Of the announced cast members, Tera is a new addition for the film. Actor Kentarō is also playing an unspecified role, which will be his debut in the voice acting world. A visual for Tera was also released, which you can check out below.
The Tomica Hyper Rescue Drive Head Kidō Kyūkyū Keisatsu anime franchise is based on Takara Tomy’s Tomica toy line. The series launched in Spring 2017, and received a streaming anime sequel in January.
