Who’s the one for you to count on? Won’t turn from danger from now on.

Earlier today, an official website and Twitter account opened their doors to announce that Atsushi Ōkubo’s Fire Force (En’en no Shōbōtai) manga will get an anime TV series by David Production. The first visual was revealed, which features a firefighter, staring down a blaze.

Atsushi Ōkubo’s Fire Force manga launched in the pages of Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine in September 2015. The ongoing title currently spans fourteen compiled volumes, with volume 15 hitting stores on November 16.

Kodansha Comics currently holds the rights to the title, which they describe as:

The city of Tokyo is plagued by a deadly phenomenon: spontaneous human combustion! Luckily, a special team is there to quench the inferno: The Fire Force! The fire soldiers at Special Fire Cathedral 8 are about to get a unique addition. Enter Shinra, a boy who possesses the power to run at the speed of a rocket, leaving behind the famous “devil’s footprints” (and destroying his shoes in the process). Can Shinra and his colleagues discover the source of this strange epidemic before the city burns to ashes?
