Earlier today, Funimation announced that Ashly Burch will reprise her role as Mayuri in their English dub for Steins;Gate 0. The role was originally listed as being played by the pseudonym “Jackie Ross”.

Ashly Burch entered the entertainment world in 2008, when she launched web series Hey Ash Whatcha Playin’? with her brother Anthony Burch. Burch entered the voice acting world in 2012, when she was cast as Tiny Tina in Borderlands 2. It was in that year, that she was also cast as Mayuri in the original Steins;Gate anime TV series.

Since then, she’s gone on to play numerous fan favorite characters, including Life Is Strange‘s Chloe Price, Mortal Kombat X‘s Cassie Cage, Attack on Titan‘s Sasha Braus, and Adventure Time‘s Dew Drop.

In 2016, Burch and the Adventure Time staff were nominated for a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Short Form Animated Program. A year later, they took home the award for the same category.

Steins;Gate 0‘s SimulDub launched earlier today on FunimationNow. The series stars the following:

  • Rintarō Okabe: J Michael Tatum
  • Suzuha Amane: Cherami Leigh
  • Mayuri Shiina: Ashly Burch
  • Itaru “Daru” Hashida: Tyson Rinehart
  • Faris Nyannyan: Jad Saxton
  • Ruka Urushibara: Lindsay Seidel
  • Kurisu Makise: Trina Nishimura

Cris George is directing the adaptation.

Kenichi Kawamura (Rozen MaidenSoniAni: Super Sonico The Animation) is directing Steins;Gate 0 at studio White Fox, with Tomoshige Inayoshi (Battle Spirits: Sword Eyes) providing character designs. Jukki Hanada (Love Live! School idol projectSteins;Gate) is in charge of series composition.

Hanada was also in charge of series composition for the original Steins;Gate anime. Tomoshige Inayoshi was an episode animation director for the original series.

Funimation describes the series as:

A divergent continuation of the original Steins;Gate ending, Steins;Gate 0 explores an alternate worldline where Okabe abandons time travel. While attempting to forget past traumas and get his life back on track, he meets an AI that re-opens old wounds.
