Teasing Master Takagi-sanTeasing Master Takagi-san is kind of an odd duck in the world of romantic comedies. There’s no denying that the series has found its audience, however, as earlier today it was revealed that the middle school comedy will be getting a second TV season at an unspecified later date.

First airing during the Winter 2018 season, the series is based on the manga, Karakai Jozu no Takagi-san, created by Souichiro Yamamoto. The manga series launched in 2013, in the pages of Gessan Mini. The title currently spans nine collected volumes, with the most recent volumes hitting store shelves in Japan in July 2018 bundled with an OVA. The manga is licensed by Yen Press and the first volume hit store shelves in North America on July 24, 2018.

The first season of the anime adaptation was simulcast by both Crunchyroll and Funimation. The story is described by Crunchyroll as:

“I swear I’m going to tease and embarrass Takagi-san today!”

Nishikata, a middle-schooler, keeps getting teased by the girl who sits next to him in class, Takagi-san.

He tries every day to get back at her, but will he ever succeed? Takagi-san and Nishikata’s youthful teasing battle starts now!
