On February 28, Anime Boston announced that Richard Epcar and Ellyn Stern will attend this year’s event as guests of honor. The two are the sixth and seventh North American guests confirmed for the event, respectively, and the eleventh and twelfth guests in total. They will join the following:
- Yoko Shimomura
- Billy Kametz
- Greg Ayres
- Michelle Ruff
- Tara Sands
- Johnny Yong Bosch
- Kenji Kodama
- Naohiro Ogata
- Yoichi Kato
Epcar has been active in the industry since 1980. Through his career, he’s voiced over 500 characters in anime, cartoons, and video games. His most notable roles include Batou in Ghost in the Shell, Joseph Joestar in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, Daisuke Jigen in the Lupin III franchise, and Racer X in Speed Racer X.
Ellyn Stern is a classically trained industry, who’s been active in the industry since 1959. She’s voiced several hundred characters in anime, video games, and animation, and has also worked as a director and writer throughout her career. Her notable roles include Masaki Kurosaki in Bleach, Martha Vist Carbine in the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise, Agatha in Pokémon Generations, and Mrs. Taisho in Skip Beat!.
Anime Boston will be held from April 19 – 21 at the Hynes Convention Center.
