These shapeshifters are ready to return to Poe’s masquerade, hiding both face and mind.

Earlier today, the official Persona 5 The Animation anime website updated with details on the upcoming Persona 5 the Animation: Dark Sun TV special. The premiere date, as well as a trailer and visual for the project were revealed.

We break the details down below.

Trailer

The minute-long trailer features Akechi narrating the introduction, as it cuts to a red-screened shot of him shooting Ren Amamiya through the head. The scene fades out, and changes to Joker walking into the casino metaverse. From here, it flies through various shots, of the Personas, of red-backed action scenes, and of the main cast in their everyday appearances. The episode’s main theme song plays as a background track.

Key Visual

The new visual features a red background split by a gunshot and shattering glass. The main characters’ everyday personas can be seen in the shards. Akechi is in the biggest piece, his expression deranged as he holds a handgun.
