The future is coming in more ways than you can imagine, apparently!

Earlier today, GKIDS started streaming a trio of English dub clips for Mirai. We break the details down below.

Making Messes

The 96-second promo sees Kun with a young girl who has a particular fondness for making messes.

Kun Meets Mirai

The 90-second clip highlights the moment when Kun meets his baby sister, Mirai.

Teaching Mirai

The 90-second clip features Kun with the baby Mirai. He describes the many things he intends to teach the babe, from lofty goals, to simple fairy tales.

Mirai of the Future Overseas Poster VisualMirai will hit North American theaters on November 29. The English dub cast includes:

  • Kun: Jaden Waldman
  • Mirai: Victoria Grace
  • Mysterious Man: Crispin Freeman
  • Grandmother: Eileen T’Kaye
  • Grandfather: Daniel Dae Kim
  • Father: John Cho
  • Mother: Rebecca Hall

Mamoru Hosoda (Summer Wars, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time) directed the project at Studio Chizu. Hosoda is also credited with the scripts and original story.

GKIDS describes Mirai as:

When four-year-old Kun meets his new baby sister, his world is turned upside down. Named Mirai (meaning “future”), the baby quickly wins the hearts of Kun’s entire family. As his mother returns to work, and his father struggles to run the household, Kun becomes increasingly jealous of baby Mirai… until one day he storms off into the garden, where he encounters strange guests from the past and future – including his sister Mirai, as a teenager. Together, Kun and teenage Mirai go on a journey through time and space, uncovering their family’s incredible story.
